Sonder is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years or older.

Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details.
Some information is required to provide the Service. Other information is optional but may affect functionality.
Identity verification for creator accounts or restricted features may be conducted through trusted third party verification providers such as Yoti.
When verification is required, identity documents and biometric confirmation such as a selfie or facial match may be submitted directly to the verification provider through a secure process.
These verification providers process identity documents and biometric information on our behalf and return only a verification result or confirmation status to Sonder.
Sonder does not store copies of identity documents, biometric data, or facial recognition data used during the verification process unless such information is voluntarily provided to us by a user or required to be retained for legal, safety, fraud prevention, or regulatory purposes.
Information processed by third party verification providers is handled in accordance with their own privacy policies and security practices.
We collect and store content and communications you create, upload, send, or receive through the Service, including associated metadata.
We may review content and communications where reasonably necessary to:
Enforce our Terms and platform rules
investigate reports, complaints, or safety issues
detect, prevent, or respond to harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful conduct

We do not sell user-generated content.

voluntary tips and promotional features

We may use general usage data, inferred interests, approximate location, and self identified gender to deliver relevant advertising within the Service. Advertising data may be used in an aggregated or contextual manner.
Advertising and promotional systems are not designed or used to promote physical services or offline access.
We do not use sensitive personal information for advertising targeting, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.

Service providers that support hosting, moderation, security, analytics, identity verification, and payments

We may access, review, remove, or restrict content and accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement purposes.
Removed content may remain in backup systems or enforcement records for a limited period.
Sensitive information under Australian law includes information about health, sexual orientation, or similar matters.
Sonder does not require users to provide sensitive information. If you choose to share sensitive information through your profile or content, you consent to us handling it in accordance with this Policy. We apply additional safeguards where appropriate and do not use sensitive information for advertising targeting. Some content shared on the platform may involve adult or intimate subject matter. Users are responsible for deciding what information they choose to share publicly or privately within the Service.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we experience an eligible data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required.
